Our Big Babies

Byron and I are the proud owners of two Great Pyrenees.  We have had the two dogs for a year and a half.  They were from a very large litter.  We selected the runt and the large male from the litter.   Sadie is the little girl who has grown to be a 95 pound young lady.  Dozer is the big guy.  He is around 145 pounds.  They are very different than any dog that we have ever had.  For one thing their size is unbelievable.  We always have had large dogs, but a great pyrenees is beyond big.  Dozers claws look like bear claws.  They also are not retrievers.  They do not run to get things.  The first time a threw a toy, expecting them to run after it I got a big surprise.  Sadie ran over to the toy and just looked at it and came back to me.  Toy still in the yard.  Dozer just looked at me like he was saying, " What are you doing? "  He just layed down and looked at me.  It has been really fun having them in our family.
